The success of any product line for any furniture retailer is based on its ability to meet the styling, durability, price, and increasingly environmentally sustainable requirements, demanded by end consumers.

At Sonu, we work with internal design team and our external partners to gather information on the latest trends in fashion and furniture, together with developments in the raw material arenas such as timber, fabrics and steel components, to add to our constantly evolving design libraries.

Working with merchandisers and retailers, we define the scope of new product ranges and identify the models, sizes, colours, materials and finishes required for each item in a range.

Our designers and engineers then build full 3d models for the final product and then draw the 3d layers for each material and component required to make the final product. This allows us to ensure complete and accurate product costings and, using the latest CNC technology throughout the entire production process, ensures that every product our suppliers make complies 100% with the approved design.

The final designs are submitted for approval, and once signed off, we manufacture full-scale prototypes using the actual manufacturing processes and techniques, and these are then submitted to our clients for sign off.

The final approved samples, together with the digital files are then available to be sent to any manufacturing facility on our digital platform to ensure that orders can be fulfilled as rapidly as possible, which depending on production capacity, can be less than 5 working days, and given the digital nature of the models and integration with the latest CNC equipment, that every product manufactured meets the approved design in every way.
